It is in easy walking distance to the museums and the tube. There is a supermarket and plenty of places to eat nearby.

My initial room was small and the bathroom was tiny and there were bed bugs. I was moved eventually into a double room on a different floor where there were no bed bugs. The bathroom was still small whilst the room was large but with only a small wardrobe. It just didn't feel like the rooms had been well designed or much loved. Basic accomodation but would expect a bit more for the price. As with most city hotels there was lots of traffic noise and the walls were thin, I was woken up several times by people returning late.

    Fabulous

Good prices on rooms, central location of the hotel.

The room I stayed in was very cold and the shower pressure was very low.

    Very good

Bed and bathroom were clean, the breakfast was quite good, great for visiting local tourism like Victoria and Albert museum

Fine for a back packer..but carpets downstairs were very old and depressing...Also I had basement room with barred windows looked out to filthy recess which could easily have had a hardy plant which would have pschologically lifted the spirits and taken the dirty alcove out of view..I Stayed there because of having some young family visit during my travels and they did not have much finance...just inexpensive small things can make a huge difference

The location. Close to the Albert Hall where I was attending a concert.

The small size of the room in the basement of the hotel. The double bed just about filled the room and there was no headboard.

    Fabulous

1 Lexham Gardens' gives you a very good value for money. Rooms are clean. A very nice idea was to create the possibility for coffe-making in the room with a kettle and coffe powder and milk refilled every day. We also enjoyed the small balcony of our room for smoking without leaving the hotel or the room.

One should not expect very large rooms or bathrooms in this price category, otherwise you might be disappointed.

The only thing I didn't like was the uncomfortable mattress, I could feel every spring. Made my legs hurt in the morning.

Location and flowers at the façade.

They never fulfilled the booked conditions, for what they were paid for. When we arrived at the reception desk, they imposed us two separate single rooms or an awful and noisy basement room, underneath the breakfast room (ceiling and walls seem to be made of cardboard...) as the only options, saying that this situation would be corrected in the next day. In fact, they moved us to another room for the second night, to a place with a small bed, with an irregular mattress, full of highs and depressions. The room was so small that it wouldn't fit two small suitcases; the bathroom so small that there was no place even for a small towel, soap or anything (with little roaches crawling around...). Awful breakfast. They never cared about our complaints and lied all the time. We concluded that they never had a "twin room" as offered at the website, which was chosen and paid by us. Our worst experience in England.

    Good

This hotel was good value and close to Central London. I booked only 24 hours in advance and it was one of the cheapest I could find that was close to the centre of London. Being a low priced hotel the amenities were limited and my room was small but it had an en-suite shower and was clean and modern. I also had a decent continental breakfast (cereals, orange juice, croissants, toast, cheese, fruit, tea/coffee) included in the price which was a bonus - more expensive hotels in London often expect you to pay extra for breakfast.

Fine for me for a one night stay but the size of my room might be an issue if staying longer. It had a double bed and a single bed and a wardrobe and it would have been a squash for a 1-child family. However the price reflects this. Internet only available in foyer area not rooms.

    Very good

Proximity to Earls Court and night bus routes stopping right outside the door! Couldn't get any closer.

The windows were single glazed and our room, 102, and faced onto the street, where there was heavy building work going on which was very noisy. Sometimes the TV in the room next door could be heard quite clearly and cleanly in our room, suggesting the sound proofing is minimal.

    Very good

The breakfast has a good buffet spread. Staff are very friendly. Close to Underground station. Wifi signal is good even in bedroom!!

The basement room has no bedside tables. Changed to room upstairs, much better with bedside tables.

    Superb

Great location, tiny but tidy rooms, great quality/price ratio

    Exceptional

Comfortable, reasonably priced accommodation within walking distance of Earl's Court train station.

Ready acess to a swimming pool and/or gym would be a bonus.

    Fabulous

Excellent location, easy to find from the Tube at Earl's Court (make sure you exit at the correct side however) as there are 2 exits. 2 double beds in the room which meant one each, both comfortable. Shower room was clean. We were in the basement which meant early in the morning you could hear staff walking about, I think we were under the breakfast room. Would have been nice to have a mirror in the room, plus the one in the bathroom - would have made using the hairdryer a little easier. Was very impressed with the buffet continental breakfast, there was a lot to choose from for the additional £2.50 charge per person. Receptionist was quite happy to recommend 2 local italian restaurants and pointed them out on the map. All in all a very pleasant stay.

    Very good

In a convenient location close to the city centre. The rooms were small but sufficient for a weekend break, and in good condition and clean.

The rooms were small but not unusual for a London hotel.
